If you run a reflexology practice, we bet we can guess what your practice is in need of.
Is it a fuller schedule and more bookings? How about more clients?
Of course it is. You don’t need to tell us.
Well, the good news is that there is one very simple thing that you can do right now to increase your bookings. And it won’t cost you any money on marketing, ads or anything else like that.
Do we have your attention?
We’re talking about the importance of meeting your clients wherever they are.
Put another way, you need to get your business out in front and make it easy for clients to book your services, whether that’s on Google via a Google My Business listing, on social media or on your website.
This brings us to Yocale’s website booking integration.
This integration, which is offered through wellness business management software (and reflexology appointment scheduling software), integrates your calendar into your website so you can take bookings everywhere and right then and there.
Did you know that this software also adds a ‘Book Now’ button to your Facebook page?
We will show you why this integration is so important if you want more bookings for your reflexology practice. We will also show you how to set it up if you’re already a Yocale user.
Why You Need to Integrate Your Calendar Into Your Website
Let’s say it again: you need to get in front of your potential customers.
But, there’s another part of this that’s equally important: you also need to make it easy for clients to book your services right then and there.
You need to do both.
That’s why you need to integrate your calendar into your website.
If you have ever done any shopping on e-commerce websites like Amazon and elsewhere, you will notice that there are “Buy now” or “Add to Cart” buttons everywhere. These sites make it extremely clear exactly how to do what they want you to do (which is to buy their products).
These calls-to-actions digitally guide shoppers to make a purchase and, perhaps even more importantly, make it easy for them to buy right then and there.
It is the modern equivalent of having your lemonade stand on every corner: one that is open 24/7.
This is a very tenant of the e-commerce world, one that you are probably familiar with: calls-to-actions everywhere. Make them big. Make them colourful. In other words, make them visible.
But, why is this important for your reflexology practice, you ask?
Integrating your calendar into your website – so that clients can book right then and there – follows the same sort of principle above.
Instead of making potential clients pick up their phone and contact to make an appointment, which adds friction and makes it more likely that customers will put off calling for another day, integrating your calendar into your website means that potential clients can book right and there.
Do you know how powerful this?
If you want more bookings, part it comes down to timing. You want to get out in front and you want to be there when your clients want to book.
Here’s the thing: it all comes down to psychology. We’ve said it before on the blog, but people are naturally wired to take the path of least resistance. This is supported by science. Put another way, we’re kind of lazy.
Why call a taxi when you can order an Uber from an app on your phone?
Why call and order delivery when you can order it straight from FoodPanda?
We could go on, but you probably get the point.
Sure, there is a certain novelty around these apps, but they also appeal to our nature to do what is easiest.
In the same vein, why pick up the phone to book an appointment when can you click a few buttons and have your appointment booked that very minute?
Do you know how many people would much rather book an appointment themselves than have to actually pick up a phone?
The answer may surprise you.
The answer is 70% of people prefer self-service options over having to pick up a phone and speak to a receptionist or customer service agent.
Are you convinced yet?
Meeting your clients wherever they are (social media, your website, etc.) and giving them the ability to book your services without having to pick up a phone is imperative for your reflexology practice.
If you’re not convinced yet, here’s another way of looking it: first of all, do you know that the average cart abandonment rate for e-commerce shops is nearly 70%? It just so happens that One of the main reasons why these carts are abandoned is because the business failed to provide a streamlined checkout process.
If you take a look at the following study, you will see that nearly 50% of shoppers abandon their carts due to the combination of a long checkout process and bad site navigation.
So, if you want more bookings, you need to:
- Get in front of potential clients (meet them wherever they are)
- Make it easy for them to book your services
And know that this is true because it appeals to the very way that humans are wired.

Wrapping It Up

This software makes it possible to integrate your calendar directly into your website so that potential clients can not only book your services wherever they may happen to be but also right at that very moment that they want to book.
When it comes to increasing your bookings, it’s imperative to meet your customers wherever they are and to combine this with giving them an opportunity to easily book your services.
As you saw above, this is rooted in social psychology and people’s tendency to take the path of least resistance. Combine this with the fact that the majority of today’s consumers prefer self-service options, it is clear that this strategy is a winning one.
