Content creation and optimization:

  • Develop and execute landing page, feature page, and industry page SEO & content strategy

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on KPIs to ensure marketing initiatives are driving profitable acquisition
  • Use web analytics and business intelligence tools such as Google Analytics and internal dashboards to better understand our customers and apply those insights when designing marketing campaigns
  • Think strategically, analytically, and creatively about new ways to reach customers and increase relevance
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to optimize conversion and drive marketing spend efficiency.
  • Partner with the technical team in creating ways to monitor all stages of the acquisition funnel, from initial awareness creation to new subscriber sign-up.

The Role

The Senior Front-end Web Developer is an expert in front-end technologies, process and tools.You will perform in a leadership capacity to design and build new UI capabilities related to Yocale’s SaaS & Marketplace platforms. Other team members will look to the Senior UI Developer for thought and project leadership in the context of Usability and Front-end development. The Senior Front-end Web Developer has an in-depth understanding of agile development life cycles as well as object oriented design principles and patterns.

Base Requirements

  • Great at building responsive and user-friendly single-page applications in React, Flux, ES7, Redux, Webpack, HTML5, CSS, SCSS, LESS, etc. Solid experience in other frameworks and javascript to meet the 3+ years requirement is fine.
  • Build tools like Gulp, Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.
  • Testing tools like Mocha, Sinon, Chai
  • Excellent bootstrap and CSS knowledge.
  • Understand how to debug hard problems in HTTP, XHR, JSON, CORS, SSL, S3, etc.
  • Willing to get involved in some back-end work with NodeJS, Koa, Heroku, SQL, etc.

Desired Extra Skills

  • Possess some Photoshop and/or Illustrator pixel fu.
  • Be passionate about UX design. See things from a user’s point of view, and figure out the best UI for them.
  • Able to reduce complex user interaction flows into crystal clear user interfaces.
  • Good understanding of common user interface patterns and pitfalls.

Senior QA Engineer (Vancouver)

Fantastic opportunity to work for one of the fastest growing start-ups in Vancouver. We are looking for a local, self-motivated, passionate, creative, and experienced Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer.

Role Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirement/specifications review, test planning, creation, review and execution of test cases, defect reporting, and defect verification
  • Perform functional, non-functional, regression, integration, performance testing
  • Collaborate with other team members during the investigation and reproduction of defects that impact our customers
  • Provide root cause analysis to escalations and other important issues
  • Build subject matter expertise in product domains and utilize the knowledge to provide estimate, identity mitigated risks, assess product quality and release readiness
  • Participate in documentation of QA team methodologies and technical knowledge base for posterity’s sake
